GLMA and the Lesbian Health Fund are proud to sponsor the first ever LGBTQ Health & Relationships Seminar at Sea. As part of this sponsorship, GLMA has agreed to cover the costs of all continuing education credits offered to participants of the conference. This represents a significant savings for conference participants!
Continuing Education Credits
Continuing Medical Education Credits
GLMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. GLMA designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.75 credit hours in Category I of the AMA’s Physician Recognition Award. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Continuing Nursing Education Credits
GLMA is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16038, to provide nursing continuing education credits. The Seminar at Sea is approved for 8.75 contact hours.
In order to receive credit for participating in the conference, you must attend CE sessions (or view CE posters) and complete an evaluation form for each session you attend as well as each poster that you view. Evaluation forms can be completed online, on your own computer or tablet using a PDF or Word document, or on a hard copy printed evaluation form (which will be available on the ship). If using a hard copy form, you must deliver all evaluation forms to stateroom 7139 by February 7th at 9pm. If using an electronic format (online form or document), you must submit your evaluations by February 10th. You mail email your word document or PDF evaluations to email@example.com. Click Here to access all versions of the evaluation form.
You will also be asked to complete an overall conference evaluation form online after the cruise has ended.
Some of the oral sessions have corresponding poster presentations as well. In these cases, you may only receive credit for one or the other. If you complete an evaluation form for an oral presentation as well as its corresponding poster, you will be given credit for whichever of the two is greater (usually the oral presentation), but not for both.
In order to receive credit for viewing a poster presentation, your evaluation form must include the correct CME/CE code, which will be printed on each poster in a different location. For example, somewhere on each poster you will see "CME/CE Code: ROBERT" - you must write down "ROBERT" on your evaluation form in order to receive credit. If you have a mobility issue that prevents you from being able to access all of the posters on the ship, please contact Dr. Blair for digital copies that can be viewed online.
